Poem; I won't let you fall by Josbin Itty

When I was a kid,
I took my dad's big strong hands
In my little soft hands
To make my first step.
His strong hands made me a promise
A promise that he won't let me fall
But when I took my first step,
I fell...
His hands didn't prevent my fall
But it did pick me up.
When I look back now,
I realize that the promise
Wasn't to prevent my fall
But to pick me up
Every time I fall.
Now his hands have aged
Lost its strength
It's time for me to make a promise
A new promise for the old,
I won't let you fall, dad...
I won't let you fall.
